  • Close to home

If you’re keeping your catch up in the UK, there are so many cities to choose from. Here are three that could be the perfect fit:

Liverpool: If you’re looking for waterside bars and delicious food, look no further than Liverpool. Go glam and check out the cocktail lists. As well as offering an amazing night out, you can enjoy some retail therapy at Liverpool One and get some pictures while you walk along the iconic waterfront. If you want to relax, try booking a spa day at one of the many retreats around the city and in the surrounding areas.

York: Enjoy a weekend in a city steeped in history. If you’re heading here in the summer, you can take a seat outside and enjoy lunch on the cobbled streets. Should you want to plan some activities while you’re in the city, there are many attractions to choose from. Take your pick from ghost tours and boat trips to walks along the Roman walls.

London: A weekend stay in the capital is sure to be busy, but hop on the train and you can be there in no time! Go sightseeing around iconic landmarks and attractions like the Tower of London, hit the shops along Oxford Street and grab a bite in one of the thousands of eateries. If you’re a group of theatre lovers, there are so many plays and musicals to go to in the West End – use this planning time to see if there are any that you all want to see.

  • Further afield

If you’re all craving a European city break, there are so many destinations to choose from. Here are some that might make the bucket list:

Paris: The French capital is home to legendary art, stunning sights and delicious food. Head to the bohemian Montmartre and take in a show at the actual Moulin Rouge or go for a stroll along the River Seine. There are plenty of musts here too, from climbing the Eiffel Tower to visiting the Louvre.

Rome: Tuck into authentic pizza, grab a gelato and take some pictures at the Trevi Fountain during your trip to Rome. The Italian capital is a stunning destination for a weekend away. There are beautiful hotels to choose from and ancient sites to visit here. Plus, there are plenty of bars in the city centre where you can enjoy delectable wine.
