Growing up, tales of other worlds and mysterious places peeked our interests; they fascinate us in ways we cannot even describe. Even though we have gotten accustomed to the better part of the Earth, we still know that there are places on earth that you would only expect in other planets or movies. These are places that you could probably visit and enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime scenic view.
You could reach these places by boat or car or through hiking. Some car accident attorneys remind us that accidents can happen in a blink of an eye. It is, therefore, essential to have a basic plan when you visit these places and have the necessary contacts to file a claim when needed. This list takes you across the world to places you would not believe actually exist.
The Most Surreal Places in the World
1. Kawah Ijen Volcano, Indonesia
Nothing gets more relaxed and quite scenic, like waking up to a glowing volcanic mountain in Indonesia. The crater glows in bright blue flames and it only happens before the day begins. For tourists, you can hike up the volcano and see the yellow sulfur being carried by sulfur miners. If you choose to, you can head down to the crater for an incredibly magical experience.
2. Anna Paulowna Fields, The Netherlands
This place will strike you as modern art crafted on land. But no, this area is wildly patterned by the tulip fields of North Holland’s Anna Paulowna municipality.
3. Lake Baikal, Russia
Notably recognized as the largest freshwater lake globally, this lake has some fantastic features linked to it. When the water freezes, they form vast clusters of ice which turn bright, crystal clear turquoise. The lake also boasts being the deepest, most transparent, and oldest lake in the world. No wonder how good it is to visit this area and sail across the lake when it’s not frozen.
4. Marble Caves, Chile
This is a spectacle to behold. The caves are stunning and would act as a perfect place for photography. The caves are found at the General Carrera Lake that runs between Argentina and Chile. They are named Capilla de Mármol (Marble Chapel) and were formed from thousands of years of water corrosion. For scenic views, the marble caves will surely stand out.
5. Tunnel of Love, Ukraine
This tunnel would mostly look like a film set created for the most romantic movie on the planet. This is a perfect picture of nature trying to interact with humans. The tunnels are produced by trees that reach and embrace each other creating a canopy. In between the trees is a railway used by a train three times a day.
6. Sea of Stars, Maldives
Located at Vaadhoo Islands, the view would make you think that magic does exist. The view is spectacular and romantic when these stars are washed offshore due to a natural chemical reaction known as bioluminescence. We thank the planktons for this phenomenon that will blow your mind away.
7. Sơn Đoòng Cave, Vietnam
This is a cave so large that it has its own climate, jungle, and river. The enormous cavern dimension is 200m high, 150m wide, and 5km long. To gain access, you need to have a permit, and it’s such a shame that you have to pay a bit much to be allowed in. But with the unusual formations in the cave, it has recently been a significant tourist destination for tourists in Vietnam.
