LAW (Lives and Works) is an independent bi-annual magazine based in London. LAW is concerned with documenting the overlooked and portraying the beautiful everyday, giving people a sense of belonging and recognition. We visited LAW studios in Hackney and photographed Editor-in-Chief John Joseph Holt and Creative Director Joseph Prince in their working space.

Rosaline Shahnavaz is an English photographer based in London whose work has been featured in publications such as AnOther, Dazed Digital, Aesthetica and TANK.
Rosaline has recently published ‘Nothing in the world but you’, a zine showcasing personal photos of her boyfriend Ben shot on different trips and escapes they’ve taken to just be together and away from everything else. The film images give the viewer an intimate insight into the couple’s relationship and the times spent together in those remote places.
In a recent interview with the Telegraph, Rosaline talked about one of her favourite images, which is featured in the zine (third photograph below): “We’d had a long day driving and gone for a swim and then collapsed in the room, I like the way he has angled his face so that the light lit him quite beautifully. It wasn’t planned or staged, it was just spontaneous. It was a very tender moment. The way he looks so relaxed, it’s as if I’m not there. He is able to be totally himself in that photograph.“

Founded by Corentine Jaunard and later joined by Lauriane Godart, Halo Publications is a collective of graphic designers based in Brussels.
Since its beginnings in 2011, Halo Publications has developed projects based around a common interest in bookmaking and design. Halo Publication’s approach hasn’t changed and its founders still continue to work with artists, architects, academics, and anyone whose process allows them to reflect on the sensitivity of graphic forms. The finished product is the result of meetings and contemplations, deciding on factors such as paper choices, binding styles and layouts.
Halo Publications also work on self-published personal projects such as as (Ch)A(ts)ccumalation and the collective’s own Tumblr. The members of Halo Publications emphasise on how these works are important for them as they allow them to work spontaneously with the common theme of transposing the content of the internet into book form.

HOUSE WEAR has launched its second issue at Ditto Press Gallery in London last week. The magazine is published by Many Many, a creative collaboration between Stephanie Poole and Rachel Elliot-Jones who work across art, design, architecture and publishing in Melbourne, Australia.
Following the theme of HOUSE WEAR, a catalogue produced for an exhibition of the same name, which addressed the condition of impermanence in everyday life and its effect on contemporary design, HOUSE WEAR 2 is a study in nomadic behaviour and human design constructs. This issue continues exploring how this relationship affects the way we live and the impact of nomadic behaviour on our perception of house and home.
HOUSE WEAR has brought together several contributors and collaborators from this issue to exhibit core themes within the publication such as self-sufficiency and survival. Work by Berlin based artist Rachel de Joode, furniture by London based Nicholas Gardner and Sasa Stucin, and other concepts exploring notions of nomadic behaviour, omni-use tools, breadcessories by E5 Bakehouse and makeshift forms were exhibited alongside copies of HOUSE WEAR.
The launch was produced by London-based curators and art directors Beata Wilczek and Joss Debae.

Romka Magazine is a collective photo album in which people from all over the world share the stories behind their favorite photographs. Since its beginnings as an online magazine 4 years ago, Romka has featured over 300 people from 45 countries, presenting stories ranging from little anecdotes to the most intimate memories.
Joscha Bruckert, the editor of Romka, sent us a copy of the magazine’s latest issue which was released a few months ago. Issue 8 features the work of 40 different photographers along with texts from the artists explaining what’s behind their photographs. Love, family, road trips and friendship are all central themes in the latest issue of this beautiful publication.
The new issue of Romka will be released in December this year.
